Titan Hook
A tactical fishing game

What ?
This is a school project where we had to prototype a game mixing two unusual genres : tactical RPG and fishing games. We also had to make a one pager for the prototype. Titan Hook is a class and boss-based tactical. You play a squad of elite anglers who were called by the government to eradicate huge monsters of the deep. You can choose between multiple characters, each having unique fishing abilities and characteristics. A minigame will evaluate the power of your moves. It is your duty to choose carefully who to bring versus which titan.
How ?
We started by researching tactical RPG and fishing games. When we settled on an idea, anglers versus titans, we started prototyping the level on Unity, with the obstacles and position of everything. Afterwards, we thought that it was really blank, so we decorated it with some asset store assets and AI for the character models. When it was visually correct, we wanted the buttons to really work, so we did the setup for the video using Adobe XD. During the process, we used Miro to assemble our ideas together and keep track of everything related to game design.
Softwares used :
Adobe XD : Presentation of the prototype.
Unity : Level Design and setup for Adobe XD.
Miro : GDD and brainstorming.
Illustrator : Minigames visuals
Adobe Premiere Pro : Video editing and exporting.
Who ?
It was a duo project. We worked as pairs on every aspect of the project, 50/50.
Why ?
We both really like epic boss fights. We first went for something a bit more classic, but since we had to choose an unique and different gameplay, we went for huge fishes. We struggled to mix the main aspects of fishing games with a T-RPG, but we are very happy with the outcome of the minigames.
