What ?
This is a school project analysing The Return of the Obra Dinn level design through a deduction perspective. I go over all the ways Lucas Pope designed the experience to guide the player during the flashbacks, leading them to hints.
How ?
I started by doing research online about level design (Scholar, DIGRA, YouTube...), then wrote a text script for the voice-over. Recorded gameplay videos to visualize what i am saying, and chose musics from the game for the ambiance. I learned video editing throughout the process.
Softwares used :
OBS : Record the gameplay videos and voice-over
Adobe Premiere Pro : Editing and exporting
Who ?
It was a solo project, i did the researching, recording, voice-over, editing and publishing of the video.
Why ?
I chose Obra Dinn's level design because for the school project, i had to choose a remarkable feature/design in a game that amazed me. Obra Dinn is a truly unique experience and i wanted to talk about it, so i hopped on the opportunity !
